Day 125

Driving home with Becca, probably from getting gas.  With gas prices being so high, it's worth the drive across the Mississippi to MO to get cheaper gas.  <sigh>  When will the prices go DOWN?!?!?!

Day 95

SHE DID IT!!!!!

I was so very nervous for her!  I was afraid she'd be afraid & mess up.  I was worried about how embarrassing it would be for her mommy to drive her to school when everyone knew she was late 'cause she was taking her test.  She did great.  The DMV people are alot nicer than they were when Scott & I were young!!!  The instructor who took her out was way cool.  Even gave her sunglasses to help her w/the glare!!  I'm soooo proud of her.  And a little freaked!  When did I get old enough to have a kid that drives?!?!?

After the DMV, she drove me home  & took off for school.  Talk about freaky, watching your baby drive away.  I did NOT cry, although I wanted to!!!  She called me when she got to school.  She said it was weird for her too; first time she'd been in a car ALONE and had no one to talk to!!!

Day 64

St. Louis Style Pizza.  I don't think it'll ever become as famous as say NY Style Pizza but I'm glad I live in StL & get to experience it!!!  Provolone cheese & a crust the consistency of a soda cracker; that's what makes StL Style pizza.  And the ONLY place to get it is IMOS!!!  Love Imos.  And, not only is their pizza the best (although, we now order the thicker crust pizza instead of soda cracker) they have the BEST soda!!!  I don't know what it is; crack in the dispenser??  And, the pizza is SOOOOO good warmed over.  Fold it in half and make your own pizza rolls.  YUMMMMMM

Day 36

Remember last week when we were supposed to get snow???  Well we didn't.  Today, we were supposed to get a dusting; we got 3".  Got up to head for the final(?) basketball game (if we win, we play another but, we haven't won yet so......) and discovered lots o'snow!!  This is some of the snow that clung to the ice on OUR basketball net.  Looks cool, huh??  We DID end up losing the game :(   Only one more game this season.  Unless we make up the 2-3 that got snowed out!

Kevin, Missy & the kids are in town this weekend.  We met up at Texas Roadhouse for dinner (yes, we each drove 45 minutes for dinner.  There are no good places in Alton so, what ya gonna do???)   Matthew was at Olivia's house and Marissa brought her friend Brittney (but the pic of them didn't turn out so good)

Day 5

Today, Scott left for Detroit.  His first trip of the year but it's not for an audit.  He's been called to be a witness in a arbitration case between his company & a terminated reps client.  Goofy & weird reasoning but he has to go nonetheless.  I'm sure there will be a lot more airports & a lot more rental cars in 2011.
