Day 134

Jack LOVES to sit at the basement window & watch the squirrels (and birds) out the window.  He usually "barks" at them while they "violate" HIS yard.  He's so funny sometimes!

Day 121

Never name a cat Jack.  I think the name makes him obsess over boxes.  Put ANY box on the floor & he HAS to examine it &, if he can, wear it like a hat.  Silly Kitty!

Day 110

He did it again!!!  At least the clothes were dirty this time.  He has a perfectly comfy bed.  WHY????

Day 99

This is Jack & his girlfriend Trixie.  Actually we don't know what her name is.  In fact, we don't know for sure she's a GIRL!!!  LOL  She's just a cat that wanders the neighborhood.  She obviously has a home and appears to be well cared for.  She's just not licensed and has no collar.  When she comes around, Jack goes nuts.  Trixie sits outside the doors & windows & growls.  It must be love, right??

Day 97

My cat is a THIEF!!!  See that bag in front of him; he STOLE it from my s/b tote.  I have extra bags in there in case I need a trash bag or something else.  He stock his little nose into the pocket, dragged the bag out & over to the window & searched thru it like he thought that was where I kept the tuna.  Then, later on, he stole ANOTHER bag.  He did lose interest in them fairly quickly.  Silly Kitty!

Day 93

I unpacked my stuff & left my luggage out to go back downstairs (although I'll need it again in 2 weeks for 'Palooza!!!)  And, being a cat, Jack couldn't resist checking it out.  He's such a dork!!

Day 83

Why oh why oh why does this cat feel the need to sleep ANYWHERE BUT his bed???  And, it never seems to be on DIRTY laundry, only clean.  <sigh>  I didn't rewash these since A) they were Nick's & he's always covered w/cat hair anyway (from picking him up & rolling on the floor w/him), even tho, he's supposedly allergic to cats and 2) he's primarily on the jeans; cat hair will shake off jeans!!  LOL

Day 66

I have NEVER known a cat to like table scraps soooo much.  I really kinda understand him begging for meat; that makes sense.  This cat KNOWS when there is deli meat in the house.  He can be sacked out, dead to the world & if Scott or I go up to make a sandwich, he's RIGHT THERE, with those sweet little kitty eyes saying "I'd like some ham too!!".  But, the thing that gets me is how much he loves BREAD!!  Any type of bread product!  This is him scarfing down a pancake.  I know it's not good for him & I KNOW I shouldn't be giving it to him but, who can resist sweet kitty eyes (as opposed to his normal EVIL kitty eyes.  LOL)

Day 59

I'm sorry to give you so many kitty pics.  When he's asleep & sooooo sweet looking, I can't help but to take a pic.  Lately, he's been a big PAIN when he's awake.  He wants to go outside.  Somehow he thinks if he sits by the door & whines, we'll let him out.  I don't know WHY he thinks this, it's not like we've EVER done that!  I love the way he curls up & puts his nose under his paw.  I guess his nose gets cold when he sleeps too.

Day 55

Jack is OBSESSED w/this basket.  It's wear we put the newspapers & various other paper products before Nick takes them down for recycling.  If there are only a few things in the basket, he'll knock it over, pull the things out & lay down in there.  Today is 'garbage day' (which is weird since the garbage man doesn't come until tomorrow.  LOL  They come VERY early in the morn so Nick takes the trash out the day before) so Jack got to jump in the empty basket.  Silly Kitty!!

Day 49

It's been so warm that we have the sliding glass doors & a few windows open.  Somehow, Jack knocked the screen from the downstairs slider out & ESCAPED!!!  (I guess we should be happy that no one else came IN thru the open door!!!)  Scott went out & looked & Nick went out & searched the neighborhood but we couldn't find the little weasel!!  He's gotten out before & he usually comes back about 10am the next day.  We leave the garage door cracked & he can get in  & get to his food/water/litter.  Well, since the doors were open, Becca heard him crying to get in about 10:30pm!!!  Scott brought him in & locked him in the laundry room (and closed the garage door!) 'cause he has to have a bath before he can rejoin the "family".

We bathed him this morning.  Poor little drowned rat.  You'd think, as he HATES baths soooo much, he'd stop going out, knowing he'll get another one when he gets back.  I guess he's not that smart?  Silly Kitty!

Day 45

Ever have one of those days when EVERYTHING goes wrong?  Today was one of those days.  Took becca to the Dr but there's nothing he can really do for her.  She's already on antibiotics so it doesn't matter if she has strep, ear infection of whooping cough as they would all be treated the same way anyway.  Scott's still not feeling well (he has the same funk, just not as bad) On top of all the running around & all the sickies, we returned Scott's rental car today & left my index box full of coupons in the car.  The good news is they found them & were holding them for me! 

As if my day wasn't "fun" enough, I have this basket full of stuff that goes downstairs.  Whenever I find or use something that needs to go back downstairs, instead of running it right then, I put it in this basket.  Well, the basekt made it halfway down the stairs & then got knocked down the REST of the stairs.  I guess it's not THAT bad, it did finally get DOWNSTAIRS but this wasn't the way I planned it.  Do you think that cat had ANYTHING to do with it??

Oh, and Happy Valentines day.

Day 42

We're a house full of sickies and the humidifiers are out in force.  And, where there is a box, no matter the size, Jack is IN THE BOX!!!  Silly kitty!!  He's also knocked over the empty recycling basket about 12 times so he can crawl into it.

Day 29

Doesn't Jack seem to be saying "Help me!!"  There is a love/hate relationship between Jack & Nick.  Nick LOVES Jack but I really don't think the feeling is mutual.  In this pic, Nick is taking Jack into his room.  Most likely, Jack will fall asleep once he gets there but, he doesn't seem to want to go.

Day 26

I took no pictures today :(  But, here's a pic taken a few days ago of Jack.  Sleeping in Scott's office.  On top of his baseball cards.  Silly Kitty!

Day 16

When we all sit around the table, Jack thinks HE belongs on a chair too.  Sunday, while we were reading the paper, Jack jumped to the only unoccupied chair & decided to sleep.  Even tho we kept putting the parts of the paper we were done with on him, he didn't care.  Of course, as soon as I got my camera, he opened his eyes.  Silly Kitty!

Day 10

I guess Jack wanted to know if the kids' would have school tomorrow.  Wonder what happened to the "mouse"??  LOL

School finally WAS cancelled but not until 5:30am.  Alton NEVER closed.  WEIRD!!!
