Day 92

Becca & I started for home this morning.  As it turns out, if we would have gotten an earlier start, we MIGHT have been able to get Becca's license today.  We were told by the DMV that she couldn't get it until 4/3 (Sunday) so we had a plan to get it on 4/5, when they reopened.  Well, Ryan, who did Driver's Training with Becca was able to go and get his license today.  There was no way we could make it in time.  Becca's bummed!!

So, we stopped to potty.  In trying to get back on the highway, I ended up on the Business Loop & it took about 5-6 miles before we got back.  All of a sudden, this giant rock formation showed up!  I'd never seen it before because the dozens of times we've driven to Springfield, we've never gotten off the highway!!  We pulled over & looked like TOTAL idiots I'm sure, taking pics of a cliff that these people see every day.  LOL

Day 61

Pretty Punches!!!  This is my punch drawer.  It's not ALL of my punches.  My newer SU thumb punches & the NEW SU flat punches are elsewhere.  But they're black & grey & BORING.  I sold off a bunch of my punches a few years back.  Thought punches were passe'.  They weren't.  Miss my snowflake punches!  Anyway, I thought the colors & the jumble was pretty.....

Day 33

Nope, no more snow.  Which, all in all is good.  Unfortunately, we still have to deal with what IS out there, ice & frozen sleet!!  Scott enlisted the help of Nick in trying to get to some concrete!  They finally managed to get a path for the van and the sidewalk & porch done.  It was VERY hard work!!!!  Snow would have been MUCH better than ice!!!

Day 2

Christie's Baby Shower

Scott's sister's daughter is having a baby!  This will be the 5th great grandchild for his mom but the first grandchild for his sister.  And, it's going to be the first GIRL on either side!  Christie's cousin on her dad's side, Rhonda, hosted a lunch at her gorgeous house in Wildwood.  Gail & Wendell were stuck in Germany but we talked to them on the speaker phone so they did get to "participate".   We had a nice lunch of pasta & bread (yum!) and then cake!  Christie got some very, very cute girlie outfits (lots of PINK!)   They head back home for Virginia tomorrow morning.
